So, I always was sceptical about mechanical approach to evolution of something (spirit) that creates mechanisms (like an energetic system), and is not a slave nor secondary to them - energy system IMHO is not consciousness. The mechanical approach to consciousness keeps an "adept" away from his or her own center / consciousness, making an illusion of a requirement of something that is beyond, not within.
